The St. Johns Website
a small town in the city, on the web

St. Johns is our neighborhood in the Portland of Oregon, encompassing most of the peninsula west of the Cut.

Portland’s most-beautiful bridge* is named after us. Once our own municipality, sometimes we are referred to as “a small town in the city”, although our population now is nearly 13,000 residents.

We have a neighborhood association, heritage association, farmers market, community center, twin cinemas, theater pub, city hall*, plaza, park, library, parade, bizarre, boosters, mural, village, inn*, review (possibly defunct), museum (possibly defunct), beer porch, swap and play, free press, and food share. There’s even a marketing video.

This independent website is handmade by a resident of N. Jersey St. and served over the internet especially for you. The rules of engagement: no fear, no hate, no thoughtless bullshit, and no nazis.

*In the neighborhood of Cathedral Park, separate and apart from modern St. Johns, but originally part of the historic town of St. Johns.
